My Walk to Emmaus provided me with three amazing days to focus on ME and my spiritual journey.  I was reminded that I'm called to let my light shine, that I'm valued and loved.  While I cherished the learning, growing and sharing during the weekend, I value even more my renewed relationship with God and the friendships I've made that carry me through the joys and struggles of life.

I was an occasional church attender without a relationship with God, when a friend offered to sponsor me to the Walk to Emmaus.  It was so powerful, I sponsored my husband and encouraged my daughter to attend as well.

I continue to be a part of the Emmaus Community because I believe we are not healed alone.  Many of us have had difficult trials in our lives and sharing our stories helps us know we are not alone and reminds us that the spark of God is alive and well in each of us - no matter what has happened to us.

My experience with the Walk to Emmaus has been such a fruitful one.  I found my voice, and I found a community.  They have been through all my ups and downs.  I heard my call to ministry while attending my Walk, and I have grown in my faith ever since.

The Walk to Emmaus is a place where we can engage, energize, and experience the unconditional love from God and others.  My walk came during a time in life when a lot of change was happening and I found myself feeling somewhat alone and questioning my worth and value.  I was wrapped in the arms (physically and figuratively) of a love so powerful that opened my eyes to who I truly was and gave me the confidence to have faith in the journey.  It was one of the most profound and life changing experiences of my life.  It is one of my greatest blessings to be a part of this amazing community that changes so many lives.  We are a family!

The Walk to Emmaus experience can be truly life changing for some people and it definitely was for me.  The Walk Community is a very loving, supportive group of people where everyone is welcome.  I strongly urge anyone seeking a closer relationship with God and with other people to join this Community.

The Walk to Emmaus was like a refreshing gulp of cold water for a thirsty traveler . . . and I didn’t even know that I was thirsty.

The walk . . . . spiritually uplifting.  Opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of love, acceptance and growth.  The Emmaus Community is a family of many that care for all.

My wife had asked me to go through the Walk for over 15 years.  Finally, I went.  After being in the military for 30 plus years I know how a tight-knit family of friends can be.  The Walk opened my eyes to a whole new group of brothers who are out there in the
community, loving, caring and giving.  I have experienced a wonderful comradery of friends since my first Walk.

The weekend walk gives me the opportunity to learn how to share the faith, and hope needed in everyday life.  I now share feelings and hear feelings from others
who are needing to release inner feelings and emotions.
This experience has helped me become a better person for others.

The Walk is a wonderful weekend of friendship and spiritual growth.  I pray regularly, giving thanks for communities of faith, and the Emmaus Community is a special part of these.  Anyone would be blessed to join the Walk to Emmaus.

What I experienced in the Walk to Emmaus:
1.  How to love people with your eyes.
2.  How not to be as selfish and more loving.
3.  Socializing and bonding with great people.
4.  Being supported by the community.

I received a positive lesson in love, friendship, and brotherhood.  The Walk has brought to me the opportunity to belong to a 4th Day group, where I can share my joys and sorrows.

The Walk is where I found my faith.  De Colores – my life has gone from monotone to all the colors of the rainbow. Emmaus for me, means hugs, cookies and fellowship.  A community of like-minded seekers of God and faith, overflowing with love and peace.  I have weathered many storms in my life since I did my first Walk, and I see life very differently knowing that Jesus is always walking with me, as is the community.

The Walk gives me a way to be myself.  I think it is great to have people in my life that I can talk to.  It recharges my batteries, so to speak.  It makes me realize that I am not the only one with struggles and I am not alone.  Thanks for the Walk.

The Walk to Emmaus weekend opened up a new window for me. Great people in a
safe atmosphere.  Very positive from start through today.  The benefits are both
immediate and many. You are truly welcomed into a community.

The Walk to Emmaus was a time of deep, personal spiritual assessment for me.  It was a time of bonding with many other men (and women) who were also trying to assess their own spiritual core. There was a lot of time at the table for sharing of beliefs, feelings and life experiences, which helped me to realize I had a lot in common with my fellow pilgrims and team members. Lots of laughter, sharing and joy were the highlight of the experience. There were inspiring talks and topics of discussion. All were encouraged to participate in discussions and sharing.  The Walk helped me to see how God is present in my life and showed me ways to become closer to Him every day.

I attended the Walk in 2017.  My experience was uplifting and very inspirational.  I was amazed by the group of individuals, and how well I was welcomed.
